Why Become a member of the RYC Golf Community

On signup you will receive a Coupon which gives you an additional 5 % discount off the reduced price when purchasing Golf Equipment from Levelpar Online Golf as well as a Free Sleeve of Golf Balls will be sent to you every month in the Post.

The RYC Score Tracking Portal will be at you disposal for you to monitor your handicap and track your scores. (To be released shortly)

In addition as an RYC Community member your Golf Course Reviews will be granted with the Trusted Reviewer Status which will give them priority over the other reviews posted on the site by non-members.

With regards Golf Course Reviews in the future the RateYourCourse website will only be publishing reviews received from RYC Golf Community Members and members who have registered on the site or those that have returned a Rate and Review Postcard

Access to the resources on the RateYourCourse website will be limited for non RYC community members and only the active RYC community members will have full access to the massive Golf Course database.

To top it all off as an RYC Community member you will be given the opportunity to give your opinion not only with your Golf Course Reviews but also by being able to publish a monthly article of your choice that is golfing related on the frontpage of the website.

Responsibilities of the RYC Golf Community member

Apart from providing Golf Course Reviews and a Monthly Golf related article the main responsibility of the RYC Community Member will be in referring new Golfers and Golf Courses to the RateYourCourse website and to promote Golf as a whole.

NZ Golf Course Reviews

It has been a commercially acceptable practice to review hotels and restaurants and give them a star rating. We at RYC dont see the problem in doing golf course reviews as long as the person doing the rating is unbiased and gives the course a fair golf course rating. I myself have never ever played a public golf course that I have walked away from without having some positive remarks. As we all know some golf and country club courses are better than others and in many instances the smaller courses will have a friendlier welcome and attract golf course communities. I dont know about the other members of the RYC golf communities but I play golf to enjoy myself and get some exercise as well as the challenge provided by the best golf courses. More often than not I cause my own problems especially on the top golf courses and often end up grumpy. My bad golf cant be blamed on the course so I try to do the Golf Course Reviews after I have relaxed and had time to reflect.As you all know the rating procedure provided by RYC United Kingdom sticks to a stringent vetting procedure and we encourage Patrons to give honest and positive golf course reviews. The fact that we remain transparent and offer the courses right of reply seems to be in interest to the Golf Unions and the other RYC golf communities who can use our golf course map to find the top golf courses.

NZ Top 100 Golf Courses

Our NZ Top 100 Golf Courses list is compiled on a weekly basis from Golf Course Reviews received from our Patrons based on our 25 Golf Course Rating Criteria. Unlike other NZ Top 100 Golf Course Rating lists our list changes on a weekly basis and also updates the Golf Course Top 100 Status automatically.

Best NZ Golf Courses

Choosing the best golf courses can often be a difficult decision as each member of the RYC golf communities has different playing abilities. As part of our golf course reviews we have included other aspects such as the enjoyment of the course and the 19th hole amongst others. So the best golf courses on Rate Your Course are chosen based on a lot of criteria and not necessarily how difficult they are. In addition a golf and country club may be more expensive than a public golf course but this does not make it into our top golf courses.

RYC has a unique Review System that is both online and via the Post that is based on a set of 25 criteria on which our Patrons Rate and Review a Golf Course. All Reviews are verified by our staff and all Patrons are encouraged to provide a reference number,we stick to a stringent vetting procedure and we encourage Patrons to give honest and positive golf course reviews.
